A talking donkey!
Perhaps I'm the in the minority, but if I were Balaam the first thing out of my mouth would have been, "Holy cow! A talking donkey!" Maybe talking animals were not all that rare in those days or perhaps conversing his donkey was something Balaam did on regular basis. But I would have fallen off the donkey in shock. Moses was surprised to see a burning bush. Can you imagine his response if God had sent a talking donkey?
