Redemption
Joshua's leadership kept the children of Israel on the right path, but upon his death they were unable to continue on the straight and narrow way. This condition of man is still with us, we can't depend on our pastor, parents, organization to lead us to our destiny in Christ. We have fellowship, and we assemble together, and we show ourselves as God's by the way we love each other, but our walk with God is a personal relationship with a holy God. The standard I must live by, is the same for all who call themselves followers of Christ. Jesus is the ultimate in fairness, He asks of all, their all....we cannot leave one part of our existence to self or chance. Israel became self centered, scattered, stopped seeking, stopped listening, stopped the teaching of Joshua.....results? Captivity, servitude to enemy kingdoms. Decades away from God's perfect well......but as we know of our 2010 saviour, in that time before Christ there was always a redeemer.....6 redeemers....the number of man....Thank God for that perfect man, number 7 Jesus Christ the perfect sin offering. Receive Him today. Accept His gift, repent, find someone to baptize you in Jesus' name, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, then you will be equipped to enter in......Hallelujah.
