My life is not my own, I was bought with a price...uhh yeah I know

I have always known that my life is not my own because Jesus bought me with the price of death (death being an understatement of what he went through for us). But what I am learning is about the character of God and how he is never changing. Today the Bible showed me something cool. In Numbers when all the complainers were wondering around in the wilderness God set it up where the first born of everything was given to Him. Kids, livestock everything that was firstborn, and there was a certin price for every different "firstborn" SOOO what they did with the firstborn babies, was give them to God via the priests, following the rules, but then they bought the child back with whatever the price was, the parents would pay it, obviously and take the baby home consecrated to God but knowing that they not only gave up what was theirs to God in obedience, but they paid even more just to keep the baby, redemption. The money they paid to keep their own baby was redemption money. Heck yeah I get it now. God set this whole "I'm redeemed, set free, bought with a price, my life is not my own, My redeeeeeeeemeeeerrrrrr liiives" thing up back in the DAY. I love it. God is never changing. I am the firstborn, and because people have jacked up everything throughout time, God was thinking, hey Jesus, you know Jana? and Joseph and (insert your name here) this is really going to suck for you son, but will you pay the price for them? Everything has gotten too confused. (that's just my imaginary convo) So the price for me was more than money, it was the death of my Fathers son, Jesus. That understanding makes it a bit easier for me to act a little bit more like Jesus, my Redeemer, today and not like the jerk I want to act like.

WELLL I KNOW THAT I KNOW THAT I KNOW THAT I KNOW MYY REDEEMER LIIVES!! i TALKED TO HIM THIS MORNIN! just kidding, couldn't resist. im not making fun of that song, i always cry when it comes on then my husband makes fun of me for being a nerd.
