Jesus deals with our greatest need!
I am so grateful that when the friends of the paralyzed man in Mark 2: 1 - 12 lowered him down to Jesus for healing that Jesus first forgave him his sins. Showing us that his unhealed heart was a greater need than his unhealed body. In fact the passage makes it clear that the main reason Jesus healed the man was to show that He had authority to forgive sins! Surely we have got it wrong when we say that "by his stripes we are healed" applies to healing of the body?
