Joining Our Faith Together

(Romans 1:11-12, NIV) "I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith."

The word "mutually" in the last line above is "allēlōn" in the Greek. It means, "one another, reciprocally, mutually." In other words, When we come together in Christian fellowship, our individual faith and deeds being joined together, will encourage each other equally. This is another crucial point in gathering together as a local fellowship (church). Our faith does not grow alone; it grows when joined with another's encouragement and faith.
