JC heals the paralytic

I love the fact that Jesus doesn't immediately physically heal the man. The first thing he does is offer him peace and forgiveness. Almost an inner healing of sorts. I think as people of faith we can relate to this. We are broken and flawed and though living a life of faith may not be the most glamorous at times, we continue to renew our commitment because it's through faith and in God that we can experience peace and we can be healed. I can relate to that paralytic. He's physically immovable to the point where the only way he can get to Jesus is by depending on his friends. There have been times where the only reason I have been able to hang on and push forward is because of the love and support of my friends and my community of faith. Even though I may not necessarily believe that Jesus made that man physically get up and walk, I think it's an awesome illustration of the healing power of faith and God.
