The Fire Never Dies

The fire on the altar was supposed to burn continually. It was not supposed to be allowed to go out. Instead, the priests were to tend the fire so as to keep it always burning before God. This is an amazing picture of our lives as Christians.

I need to tend to the fire within me in the same way. God has placed within me a flame, and, just like the priests, I need to keep it burning. Therefore, I need to read His word everyday, pray often and always, and do as God has required of me. I will feed the fire!

Father, please help me to keep my fire continually burning. I want to burn brightly for You so that others may see all that You have done. Amen.
