Is your faith grounded in TRUTH?

Paul warns that in the last days, people will lose interest in the truth and instead follow after teaching that fits their personal likes and dislikes. It never ceases to amaze me how the Bible is so dead on prophetically. We currently live in a world where "absolute truth" is becoming less and less popular. We are more and more encouraged to disregard our personal convictions on truth in favor of embracing all beliefs equally (I.E. "tolerance").

While it is so easy for us to look at the world and see its faults, what about us Christians? While many of us believe in Christ, fewer of us have our beliefs grounded in God's Word. While so many of us consider ourselves followers of Christ, fewer of us actually get into the Bible and read it for ourselves. Instead, many Christians believe things simply because they were told it by a pastor or because it sounds good, without ever confirming it in God's Word. The Bible is truth and should be at the core of our faith. How can a Christian discern truth from falsehood without testing it with the Bible?

So here is my challenge to you: Compare EVERYTHING you believe with the scripture. If you encounter contradictions, go with what God says over what you think :)
