A Sweet Smell
As I browse through all of the instructions for the tabernacle and worship, I am in awe. So much attention to detail, and so much beauty, and so much personal symbolism. The full spectrum of emotions and senses are totally engaged, bringing a person to their knees in silent worship of the almighty God.
Although I appreciate and understand the informal but deep style of modern worship, I can't help but long for a little taste of this respectful, laying prostrate, type of old testament worship once in a while. Yes, I am a friend of God, but He is still the almighty, all knowing, all powerful, Holy God He has always been. Let's not forget that.
