For years, this has been my favorite section of scripture. Three amazing stories, dramatically told. Three different people, all at the end of their ropes, all with no hope except for Jesus. In each case, an encounter with Jesus left them totally changed. Jesus does that. He brings us out of darkness, gives us new life and sets us free from old sickness and sin. Which story is yours? The man in bondage, the man facing death and loss or the woman who seemed beyond help?

Jesus wants only that we have faith in him, that we believe he truly is the son of God. He is the only one with the power to resurrect our hopes from the messed up circumstances of our lives.
