An amazing body !
10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. AV.
The same verse in the Amplified reads;
10 As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God’s many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor].
I love that phrase "extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians". Before I would have limited God because I could only see that he could work in a certain way through a certain group of people. Hallelluagh our God is so much bigger and has his own people in so many different and varied situations. Only yesterday I found my self in a church where a few years I would have judged that there could not be life in such a place, however I spent the afternoon having a precious discussion with the minister.
It is true that in the human body there are forces at work that seem to be having oppersite effects yet because they are both there the body is kept in balance. This is alos true for the spiritual body of Christ, therefore it behoves us all to be quick to listen and perhaps a bit slower to pass judgement.
