The Righteous Suffer? Yea!

In these verses Job's "friends" tell him that he is suffering because he has sin, but that's not the case! Even God told satan that Job was upright, faithful, and feared God. These things were happening because God was testing Job to see if he would stay faithful throughout the trials. I think a lot of us today believe that if we be good people and not sin, then everything will be O.K., but it's not true. I believe we are spiritually safe in God's hands, but when it comes to the world I'm not so sure. Even in the first chapters of James he talks about how being tested brings us closer to God. Did you ever think about the apostles? All but one were martyred because of their faith and the evangelism they accomplished. Guess that's it, just thought it was interesting how the old testament still relates to today's world.
