Power to do it all.
Matthew chapters 10 and 11 used quite a deal of symbolism to describe what was going on at that particular time. I have some ideas and thoughts that stood out to me about those two chapters. The very first thing was that Jesus gave the disciples the POWER to do extraordinary things, things that he himself was capable of doing. Jesus told the disciples to go into all of the lands, preach, heal the sick, banish unclean spirits etc... So what this tells me is that JESUS has given US the power to do those things as well, through prayer, fasting, and faith. We have to think big!!!! None of those things has any effect on a faithful, humble servant of GOD. Dont ever forget that you as a Christian have this power and ability!!!! The next lesson I took from these chapters, was the fact that Jesus said come all ye that labor and are heavy laden and i will give you rest. I interpret that as meaning (in todays terms), that there are so many trials and tribulations, frustrations that we all go through... but when you give it over to God once and for all, HE will give you rest and peace of mind. WE should always value Gods love above it all, and love nobody anymore than you love GOD.
