Where do I begin....

"Where do I begin,
to tell the story
of how great a love can be,
the sweet love story
that is older than the sea,
where do I start?"

As the debates over interpretation of this chapter continue to rage, we lose and the Adversary wins. Why? While we focus on our petty arguments (at least petty in relation to the miracle of creation), we are missing God and we are missing the real importance of the story. Genesis 1 relates something so much more important than fodder for a debate about evolution vs. creationism. It is the beginning of a love story.

Think about the Bible as telling the tale of a love affair between God and creation...especially humanity. In those terms, it's just the beginning...the first two acts... We are living the rest of the story.
