What Happened to the Still, Small Voice?

Of all the aspects of this passage on which I've remarked or preached, the one I've never really focused on is the manner in which God sent his Breath into the assembly. He wasn't quiet, this time. He BOOMED into the room like he had not since Israel trembled out Mt. Sinai.

God begins this new part of his love story like he tried to begin with Israel. Would the 120 accept it or rebuke it in fear like their ancestors had? Will you and I accept God moving with power in our lives, or will we try to tame God, too?

May I always accept God's movement and his Spirit in my life in the way that HE chooses to move. May I respond to his invitation with, "Here I am, Lord."

Blessings,
