messed up math?

You know, there are several places in the Bible where the math just doesn't seem to add up. And this one of those instances. We are told that when Jacob goes to Egypt with his family, that 66 go with him from Canaan. And then we are told that Joseph's sons Manasseh and Ephraim make 70. And this had me all kinds of messed up and wondering how they came up with 70. Well, the answer is, you have to include Joseph in the count. Joseph makes 69, and then you have to include Jacob. Notice the verse says, 66 went with Jacob. Jacob isn't included in the 66. So with Jacob, Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, it makes a total of 70.
