Jesus Is In The Boat With Us

This is an amazing passage. Jesus and the disciples are out on a boat. The start off with smooth sailing, in fact Jesus even fell asleep. All of a sudden a great storm took place, it was so windy that the disciples were afraid because they felt their lives were in danger. So they woke Jesus up, and Jesus rebuked the storm. After He rebuked the storm the raging winds and the surging waves stopped, and everything calmed down. From there Jesus questioned His disciples' faith asking them, "where is your faith?"

Now how many times and life do we face storms? We may find out about an illness, lose a loved one, suffer a job loss, the list goes on and on. But through these storms, we must realize that Jesus is right in that "boat" with us. No matter how turbulent the waves of the ocean are or how powerful the wind seems. Jesus is right there to calm the storm down. But we must exhibit faith in Him. Jesus gives us a promise in Hebrews 13:5, "I will never leave or forsake you".

Just remember as you're going through a storm or whenever you come face-to-face with one, that Jesus is in that "boat" with you, want you to have faith in Him to bring you through.
