The Controversy of the Tongues
Recently, I learned that there are certain denominations who believe that God must confirm your salvation with a baptism of the Holy Spirit which is manifested with a gift of Tongues. The pastor who taught this (or simply explained it) told us that every act of conversion that occurred in Acts was accompanied by this miraculous anointing of tongues. However, when reading the conversion of Paul, there is no mention of any gift of tongues. Instead, scales fell from his eyes--which is pretty supernatural to me.
Now I wonder if Paul's conversion is in another category or some such than all the rest.
