find out who He is
57 Then some stood up and gave this false testimony against him:58 “We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with human hands and in three days will build another, not made with hands.’ 59 Yet even then their testimony did not agree. Mark 14:57-59 TNIV
It’s interesting how the very people who did not believe who Jesus said He was could not find evidence to prosecute Him so the resorted to false testimony. Even in their false testimony they couldn’t not agree on the fabricated stories all because they didn’t really know Him. I can’t help but think about how many people in the world today tell spin off stories about a Jesus that they don’t really know. They will say things about him and give excuses as to why they won’t follow Him even though if they were honest they would admit they haven’t taken to the time to find out who Jesus is.
What a reminder for me today to keep finding out whom Jesus is. I need to stay in His Word not only for my own personal walk with Him but to also defend the truth to others who falsely accuse Him of not being who He claimed to be.
God help me to know more and more about who you are today. Give me the boldness to proclaim your truth to an unbelieving world.
