Burned With Anger Towards Whom?

I recently read a Jewish commentary which said he is convinced that Potipher "burned with anger" towards his wife, not Joseph. This blew my mind!

He goes on to say that since Joseph was an Hebrew that he was forced (by the racist culture*) to do something to save the dignity/honor of his wife, a Egyptian Woman. So the nicest thing that Potiphar could do was to throw him into the King's jail, which was rather nice for a jail (as seen in Chapter 40).

As I go back and read this I totally agree with him. Potiphar burned with anger towards his wife; who lied to him, and forced him to throw his best worker who blessed him greatly in jail

*this is similar to the classic novel To Kill A Mocking Bird.
