If I keep asking

Do we think that if we keep asking God for permission that he will eventually wear out and let us do it. Balaam is condemned for failing to listen to God the first time and seeking after profit rather than being a prophet( 2 Peter 2:15-16). Look what happens to Balaam in Numbers 31:8.
