Making Worship Feel Good

15 “Take careful heed to yourselves, for you saw no form when the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire,

The Hebrews didn't want to have to rely on God to reveal Himself to them in order to worship, they wanted to worship when they wanted, who they wanted, and how they wanted.

How powerful this is; God reminds them that they didn't need things their way when He spoke to them from the midst of the fire (like when we have an incredible moment with God) but when they didn't hear from Him while Moses was on the mountain (like when we are in need and feel distant from God) they began to worship a golden calf (we begin making worship about us and our needs)

Thank you God, that you desire to reveal yourself to us! I will not make worship something that I control, or something that I create, rather I will wait upon Your voice, Your Spirit, Your revelation!
