SILENCE

It says in Revelation 8:1 that heaven fell quiet-complete silence for about a half an hour. The chapters before this had mentioned all the worshipping going on, the singing, praising God, and now Silence.
Often we, I, get so wrapped up in activity, busyness, everyday life, that the noise is everywhere and I can't even hear myself think. Activity is all around me.
Sometimes the best thing is silence, just silence, nothing else. It's hard for me to be still and listen for silence. But I do believe that God desires to speak to me in a big way sometimes, when I am just quiet before Him. "Cease striving and know that I am God." - Psalm 46:10a
Father, I want to be silent before you today and hear what you want to say to me. It is more important than any other activity I may find myself involved in.
