Remembering Who Has Our Back
Seems like most places God calls us requires some kind of trust, something that will be beyond us, beyond what we know we can do and what we are comfortable doing. A move, a change of vocation, a step towards healing, reaching someone new. Most of the time I know the direction I am sensing is from the Lord when it makes me feel a little bit or a lot bit uneasy about taking the next step. But in this, we can know that it is God Himself that has our back.
We do not need to fear - because it is God who is with us.
Do not go without hope - because God is our God.
He strengthens us.
He helps us.
He upholds us with His righteous right hand.
I read these words and understand, but trusting these words can be entirely different. Lord, allow these words to settle in and take hold. Words that would lead to change and action.
