The Sons Are Free
Jesus asked Peter who do kings of the earth charge taxes? He asked him did they collect them from sons or from strangers. Peter said from strangers. Jesus responded then the sons are free.
The revelation that the Holy Spirit gave me on this verse was that if a person accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior then they become a son of God. If he or she is a son of God then they are free from paying the debt of sin.
If you have not received Jesus Christ as your savior then you are a stranger and you will pay the full debt for your sins. At the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the strangers from among the sons, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
