To those on the "left"

I looked this verse up in five different translations and got the same result no matter which one I read. "He will also say to those on the "left".

And I had to laugh. It's funny because from a political perspective, who is on the "left"? Gotta love those Democrats. LOL.

Now I realize that this comment may seem strident and otherwise out of context, but I did a double take when I was reading this the other night and paused to meditate on this verse. I mean, how else would you interpret this verse? I mean, who are these people on the left whom Jesus is referring to? Those who are cursed obviously. And it is a strong denunciation of these people he is referring to. He boldly states that those who do not do his will are cursed and will end up in hell with the Devil.

So much wealth in the United States. So little action for the Kingdom of God. Everyone is so busy going through their day, and so busy soaking up material things, and worrying about how the government is going to take care of them, and how we are going to pass health care legislation, etc.

I pray that God would be glorified through the repentance of His elect, and people would turn from their sins, and move away from those on "the left". Hey, I didn't write it, I'm just reading it.
