Abraham and Righteousness

Here's an interesting verse that points out an remarkable fact. There was a person that was made righteous even before Jesus came to the earth and died for us.

God took the Faith that Abraham had and counted it for righteousness. It wasn't a physical action, it wasn't his abstinence, or "good living", it was his Faith. When we take our eyes off of the fact that it is Faith that pleases God we cheat ourselves. (Heb 11:6) When we put our eyes on what we are or aren't doing as prerequisites to opening spiritual doors we fail.
