God's special people
The amazing thing about Christianity is that it is not a solo faith. It is not a journey that you are required to do alone and walk thorough the hardships by yourself. Christ put us into His body to serve as a member of it, functioning as a support system for one another and a representative of the person of Christ. You never see a foot running off from someone talking about, I am going to do this alone, it is a part of the body. My eye is not going to jump off my face and say I want to see the sites, it is a part of the body. Just as physical parts don't go solo neither should we.
Paul was sharing in this verse his sincere love for the Philippian church and his gratefulness for their support in his life. He thanked God every time he thought of them due to all of the care and concern they have shown him and the growth in their local church. In my own life, my church family truly adopted me and the small group of believers I have on my job have been essential to my growth and sanity in life. God's special people or agents that He sends into your life to challenge, grow and love on you are truly a blessing. It is so comforting to know that God did not leave me here alone and He has brought members of His body to be my support system and me to be theirs.
Daddy, thank you for your grace and unmerited favor. You outdo yourself everyday father. Thank you for not abandoning us here to walk this life alone, you not only sent your Holy Spirit as a helper but physical representatives of your kingdom to be a support system and family for your family. You are amazing God! Thank you for the support system you have put into my life and all your special agents I have yet to meet, that will impact me to help me become more like you. I thank you for each of them. I love you Daddy! In Jesus name, Amen.
