Inked by God

I've been inked. Yup, I have a tattoo. A REALLY nice tattoo. It has the fire maltese cross surrounded by flames over the top of a cross. It has my badge number and it has my life verse ... Galatians 2:20.

I am proud of my tattoo. During the summer when I wear sleeveless t-shirts, it does help others know who I am, what interests me, and what I stand for. (I just wish I had the muscles to go with it!)

However, that is nothing compared to being inked by God and having Him write His name and the name of His city (the new Jerusalem) on me. THAT will identify me. THAT will be a mark of who I am. THAT will visually say what and who I am committed to and stand for.

Someday I will be inked by God. Wow! What a thought!
