Holiness Before Happiness
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Matthew 5:6 KJV
How do we live a life that is “right with God”? By accepting God’s Son and obeying His commandments. Accepting Christ is a decision that we make one time; following in His footsteps requires thousands of decisions each day.
Whose steps will you follow today? Will you honor God as you strive to follow His Son? Or will you join the lockstep legion that seeks to discover happiness and fulfillment through worldly means? If you are righteous and wise, you will follow Christ. You will follow Him today and every day. You will seek to walk in His footsteps without reservation or doubt. When you do so, you will be “right with God” precisely because you are walking aright with His only begotten Son.

Today’s Prayer
Lord, You are righteous and Holy God, and You have called me to be a righteous woman. When I fall short, forgive me and renew my spirit of holiness within me. Lead me, Lord, along Your path, and guide me far from the temptations of this world. Let Your Holy Word guide my actions, and let Your love reside in my heart, this day and every day, Amen.
