He is so close

I was just reading "He is the shade at my right hand". I was outside so I held my hand out and looked at my shadow and thought, He is really that close. But then I came in and looked on NETBible and saw that shade doesn't just mean shadow. It can also mean a protective shadow, as if you're sitting under a tree for protection from the sun. So in that case, He's not just as close as my shadow, He is the shade that covers me completely. He's not just close, He's all over me! What an amazing God.
