Joy of Life
A great joy accompanies the one who studies the word of God because their souls are nourished and satisfied. There is only one other alternative which is the unsuccessful search to satisfy the cravings of their souls. Everybody needs nourishment and where they find it is up to choice. Just like our bodies need nourishment, that is food and water, so do our souls. We can feed it with either truth, the words of God, or we can fill it with lies, the ideas of man. God’s word is like eating from a never ending portion. When one decides to depend on his own source for nourishment and reject what God offers, what they have done is chosen to eat from the dog bowl, food that cannot even be digested. Therefore, it never satisfies the cries of their souls leaving them even more frustrated than they were before eating from it.
