Living in the Light
Today is easter and the Light of the World is ALIVE! Jesus is alive! In Jesus there is no darkness at all. So how can we be in Jesus and still live in spiritual darkness? You can't, the key word is LIVE in darkness. There will be times when we step outside of Christ into the darkness, giving into our flesh and sin, but we don't stay there as believers, Christ draws our attention back to Him. As a moth to a light bulb, we can't help but be drawn back to the Light. Once safely back in Christ, He cleanses us from our sin and we can live in the light and have fellowship with our God.
But, Christ's blood is not the only gift we have from God. We have his resurrection as well, meaning that we have not only had our sin atoned for, but we also have a God that is alive and a new life we can live in Him. We can live in the Light now. That is Good News! Happy Easter! Jesus is Alive!
Daddy, thank you for your son who paid the penalty for my sin, but also thank you for giving us the resurrection, so that we can live in the light with Him. I thank you that the story did not just end in death, but in new life IN Jesus. Help me to live in the Light as your son did. Love you Daddy! IN JESUS, Amen.
