John 13:14-16
What a powerful example Jesus set!!! Here is the Son of God...the greatest that has ever lived...washing his Disciples' feet. Until the following day it was the ultimate act of sacrifice and servanthood. It is a lesson that still stands today...we must serve people just like Jesus did. We must put away out desire to get ahead...to be first...to be at the top. We must instead focus on serving others just as Christ served us. Selfishness, pride and ego has no place in following Christ. Humility, compassion and servant-minded actions do. Who will you be serving today?
