Disciplined with Thorns

If I am reading this right, it says that the elders were disciplined with thorn branches and briers - I take that to mean they got SPANKED!

I remember being spanked with a belt, a willow tree branch (or switch for those of you unfamiliar with that), a hot wheels race track even, but NEVER with a branch of thorns! WOW! :)

Interestingly enough, it says that "with them he taught the men of Succoth" which is oddly what my parents would say to me, "I'm going to teach you a lesson!" lol
