Homosexuals will not go to hell!

I read a contribution today from someone that said gays will not get into heaven. I had just gotten out of church and I wanted to throw up. When are Christians going to stop casting stones? We throw some Bible verses behind our dislike for people groups and think we are justified. Never should we post something to the world that condones any person to hell while not knowing any of their story, would we put up a post that says "If you disobey your parents, you will go to hell" or "if you tell a lie, no matter how small, sorry no heaven for you". It's this kind of stuff that reminds me of a story where a man prayed to God saying, thank you that I am not like that man, while that man who may be gay is saying have mercy on me a sinner.

This is true, if you are living in unrepentant, habitual sin, you will not be with God in the end, but if you are struggling with homosexuality but are seeking God's regenerating power, you will find yourself in eternity with God. Romans tells us we are saved by faith alone, our works after faith enhances our faith but does not save us, that is legalism.

I know what some people are thinking, "check the log in your eye bro" but listen the greatest commandment is love God and love people, if we tell someone they are going to hell because of their lifestyle are they going to tell us we are right and change or are they going to discredit our faith even more than they previously have.

If you know someone who is gay, love them...I beg you. If Jesus ran into someone that dealt with homosexuality what would his approach be? I'm not a Bible expert but I can guess, I think He'd eat with them, tell them about hope, but never condone them. Jesus got more angry with the religious people of the day than he did with those that didn't know God, remember this.

Thank you if you read all the way through this, I pray this does not start a war, but a revolution, a revolution of love.
