Becoming like a child
I was praying this morning for a friends baby who is having a lot of problems with acid reflux.
As I was thinking about how he really has no control over anything in his life right now, he is less than a year old. I thought about these verses.
And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matt. 18:3 NIV
Unless we give up total control of our lives, our wants and our sorrows we will never know the full love, grace, peace, etc. of our Lord.
A parent takes care of everything, from changing our dirty diapers to making sure we have food, shelter and rest.
I know, I know this is so much easier said than done, but with practice we can train our earthly minds and bodies to follow our heavenly minded hearts!
