The Power of Purpose
Okay, so a few months ago I spoke about this in a Church in Chicago; The Power Of Purpose. The church went right in! It was a service full of young people and older alike but it really blessed me when I got an email about this yesterday. So I decided to share part of that email, and some of my notes from when I spoke about this............
Email:
"Hey man of God, I just wanted to stop by and tell you thank you for the word you spoke in the house a few months ago. I hadn't realized my life's potential until I heard you put it the way you did on that day. I'll never forget your words. You are a true and anointed man of God who will certainly be a blessing to many nations through your ministry, life and legacy.........."
I shared this email because it shows the power behind God's word. Now he gave me many accolades, and that's nice but what stands out to me is that months later, he was sending me this email because God's word had stuck with him.
So I'd like to talk to you about the power of purpose. Each one of us on this earth has been strategically placed here by God for his will to be carried out on this earth. We all serve a purpose. You may be just existing because you have not begun to understand your purpose.
Dr. King understood his purpose, as did Rosa Parks." Rosa sat so that Dr. King could stand." Jesus understood his purpose, as did Judas serve a purpose as well. Judas betrayed so that Christ could die, fulfilling that purpose to save the world.
In comparison, Dr King's sacrifice compared to Rosa Parks may be apples and mandarin oranges but they both served their individual purpose. Christians throughout history despised Judas, but he had a purpose. Interesting enough once he served his purpose; he died. His life was done because his purpose had been fulfilled.
If you understand that your life has a purpose and begin to walk in that purpose, the power behind that purpose can and will change the world.
Let me get on us Christians! Maybe if we started to live in our purpose the world wouldn't be so messed up! We talk about how evil the world is but if we got our self righteous butts out of those pews and into them streets, maybe the world would change! The world doesn't see the love of Christ, they see the iron fist of the church! We turn our backs on gay people; put down the girl who had a baby out of wedlock and we talk about the boys with their pants hanging off of their butts, but that's all we do: TALK! Oh and pray; but where's the purpose?
Brandon has a purpose, Chante,Steve, Angel and yes even and especially you! We all have a purpose that needs to be fulfilled.

Wedlock mother: Your purpose maybe to help that young girl who will make the same mistakes you made but doesn't have the strength you had to make it through.
Previous Promiscuous Person: You did it and it hurt you...a lot. That girl you turn your noise up at in church cause she dresses like a whore.....get in your purpose1 That boy who has 5 baby mama's and he's 22, GET IN YOUR PURPOSE!!!
Weed smoker: Thought it was harmless until you desired a greater fix. Teach that boy on musician staff at church about the troubles of "harmless small addictions."
Ex hoe; Ex homo; Ex liar; Ex cheater; Ex thief GET IN YOUR PURPOSE!!!!! And if yours doesn't have an "Ex" in front of it, you're not in your purpose either. Get it together; the WORLD needs you!
