The Truth & the Lie
When we exchange God's truth for any other philosophy or current thought and cultural expression contrary to YAWEH's truth left for us to apply through Holy scripture, we eventually become pagan.
Modernism taught us that science alone holds the facts and western culture accepted and held to this new paradigm resulting in a spiritual void.
Postmodernity holds the premise that there is far more than just bland facts which has led to the vacuum being filled by a pantheism that Paul found in the Greek-Roman culture of his day.
Paul no doubt would have been aware of Emperor Niro marrying two men simultaneously (one as his wife and the second as his husband). When culture excepts a pluralistic world view then paganism is right around the corner and then anything goes as did in the first century and is now happening in the 21st!
