So often we allow people to take the credit away from God because of two things: We are not in tune with God and fear that He won't provide. Abram sets the example. He showed that he was in tune with God by knowing not to take the things that the king was offering him. He said, " so that you will never be able to say 'I made Abram rich." Wow! Abram wasn't thinking, man, I could really use this money to pay the rent. Ha ha, No. He then had faith enough, because of his belief in the Promise that God had given him, to turn down the money and not fear that the Lord wouldn't provide.
