Is This Not Just Like Today?

When I read these verses, it reminds me that most of our society lives like this; never giving God a second thought. Instead they are focused on raising their children, loving their grandchildren and going about their day to day lives as if they are solely responsible for the outcome of their hard work.
I too, have fallen into this trap on occasion. May God show me, just like he did Job, that He is in control, He is sovereign; it was God who created the heavens and the earth and I am only a blip in His story. Yet He cares for me beyond what I can hope or imagine!
