God recognizes loneliness. Before any human has experienced it, He knows what it can do. (Gen 2:18)
Throughout the bible we see God encouraging us to find a community. It's a diagnosis you hear repeated often. "Humans are social beings", by God's design. Humans need others to feel fulfilled. We are even designed to feel best when we have given of ourselves for others and loved our neighbors as ourselves. This is why Jesus said this is the second most important commandment. (Mark 12:28-31)
We learn in 1 Corinthians 7 that a man being alone and being successfully faithful is a Gift, not an expectation.
Blessed are those who find their mate and Grow with God in a 3-in-1 relationship modeled by Him. There is a time for loneliness, but we must recognize the challenges it can cause to our faith and seek to surround ourselves with followers of Christ.
We need companionship, the key is finding the right companionship. We are broken beings and we need support, so finding those people who can support and sharpen in ways you want to grow is important.
Just like God gave Eve to Adam, so He puts those positive people in our lives as well. He knows we can't survive alone. Draw near to those who honor Christ.
