The Power of Trust

The verses of John 14:15-31 (Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit) provides the promise by Jesus that after his death and resurrection mankind will experience the presence of The Lord through the Holy Spirit. This is expressed in verses John 14:25-27,

“All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.“

Having the awareness that the Holy Spirit working inside us can result in peace within ourselves can lead to a less stressful life. When we let the daily pressures of life trouble us we begin to believe that we are responsible for taking care of everything. This causes us to frantically cling to both our time and treasure. Yet Jesus tells us not to be troubled or afraid. Take a deep breath and place your TRUST in God. When you do you can be a better steward of all that God has placed in your care.
