Christ smiles

Our interpretation of the law is a bit skewed. Jesus shows us that it is not about sacrifice, but compassion. How often do we do (or not do) things in order to "save face" and successfully push others further from Jesus. One example is people who will not spend time and make the lost their friends. How many souls have been condemned to Hell because we were too righteous?

Our self-righteousness is not a blessing to our Lord. Our sacrifice does not make us holy. It is the overflow love and compassion we receive from Christ that makes our savior smile.
