God's power
I came across this passage in the bible at cell group last night. I have not come across any other passage that so blatently describes the awsome level of power God has.
24hours later and I am still overwhelmed.
(hebrews 4: 13) "Nothing in all the world can be hidden from God. Everything is clear and lies open before him, and to him we must explain the way we have lived."
If God can clearly see and understand every single thought I have, including the sinful thoughts, how amazing is he that he then allows me to decide when to confess these and repent? Not only does he show his ulitmate love by allowing us to work through these thoughts and to come to him for guidance and forgiveness at our own pace, but he does so already knowing our inner thoughts. He is like a loving parent who sits and lets their toddler try to climb on top of a chair only to fall. They know what the child is doing and they know what will happen, but they let the child explore there desire and experience it and learn from it rather than to simply say 'No'.
