Reliability
These three verses have captured me because I find myself in the same situation. I have been caught in sin and I have every desire to climb out of that sin and the only way to do so is to return to the Lord, acknowledge the Lord.
Verse 1 portrays my attitude perfectly, I feel torn down, that God has brought my sins and has torn me down but now that my errors are out in the open its time for restoration. I know that I can rely on the Lord for the things He has done in the past and the things that are yet to come.
Verse 2 is great because there is that theme of the number "3" being holy and representing perfection. So the Lord works on us for two days and then He makes us whole again on the third, brings His perfection to light.
Verse 3 is what captures me the most because they are just so confident and sure that the Lord will be there, like He always has. Today we doubt and we look for signs and make excuses but these people are saying, "As sure as the winter rains..." something that happens every year that NEVER fails. Those rains never fail to show and they are reliable. I love that they have that same mentality when it comes to seeing and seeking the Lord. I know I need this kind of confidence in my own life and this verse has helped remind me of that. Just thought I would share that and what I saw in those three verses.
