Has the Bible become an Idol?

This verse made me wonder: Has the Bible become somewhat of an idol to some people? Have people put the Bible before God?

It say's in John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." So it seems they are one and the same.

And in Mark 2:27, Jesus says, “The Sabbath was made to serve us; we weren’t made to serve the Sabbath." (should be read in context to understand the point He made)

How should we treat the word of God in comparison to our relationship with Him?
