Thinking of you

Humility is not thinking less of ourselves — is really not thinking of ourselves at all.
This supernatural attitude has its source in our association with the Lord Jesus and in the empowerment of His Spirit. Humility and gentleness makes us conscious of our own nothingness and enables us to esteem others, promoting unity in the body of Christ.
Romans 12:2-3 tells us: " Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don't think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us."

This Godly behavior allows us to make allowances for each others personality flaws and allows us to love one another the way God loves us. The opposite attitudes of conceit and arrogance, on the other hand promote disunity.

This does not come easy to me most days. As Romans say — it flies in the face of what the world tells us to do to be successful.

As a child of God, I know He has plans for our success. Jeremiah 29:11-13 tells us: "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord . "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me."
There is no better offer of love, support, grace, mercy and encouragement for our success than in Jesus Christ.
Dear Friend, I thank God for you. It doesn't matter that we have never met or that I do not know your burdens - God does — so I pray for you. We are united in Christ and may His love, support, grace, mercy and encouragement flow out and between us today.
