"Timing is Everything"

Jesus admonished his Disciples not to reveal to others that He was the "promised one", the Messiah, the One Son of God. Why did he ask them to be silent? Verse 21 states that Jesus had a mission: to die for the healing and restoration of the World to God. I think He asked them to be silent because as God He saw deeply into men's hearts, and knew that at that time, without the release of the Holy Spirit, men could not grasp or accept that Jesus was to suffer, die, and rise again in glory. The information at that time would not only be wasted on them, but would possibly interfere with Jesus' mission. People would rise up, as Peter did, saying: Master, may it never be!. Jesus rebuked that response.
