Hanging on to God's word
Leviticus 21, 22, Psalm 24, Acts 21
S: Acts 21:8 And coming to us, he took Paul's belt and bound his own feet and hands, and said, "This is what the Holy Spirit says: 'In this way the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.'"
O: The intention of the prophet and the others at the house of Philip were good. They wanted the best for Paul, and in their good intentions, they tell him not to go to Jerusalem or else he'll be imprisoned. But Paul is not dissuaded. The prophecy merely reinforces/reaffirms what he believes to be God's call on his life.
A: There have been times and will be more times when others, friends, family, express their concern for the decisions/choices that I am making, but if I have a strong word from the Lord I must follow through with what He says. Regardless of their intent, the word of God supersedes that.
P: Father as You reveal things to me, help me to step out in faith and hold on to Your word to me no matter what opposition I encounter. If I end up being wrong, then I will humble myself before You and others and ask for forgiveness. But through it all, help me to seek You in everything.
